To make our rosé, we harvest and ferment block by block to understand precisely what we get from each. The 2016 vintage is nearly 100% grown, picked and pressed solely for rosé. We used our Quaker Run Syrah as the “spiritual leader” of the wine, it guides our approach and provides inspiration - even though the blend is predominantly Merlot. Cabernet Franc rounds out the aromatics, bringing a fresh, herbal quality. We sought to strike the balance between the fruit and mineral flavors in this wine.
Created specifically to be food-friendly, there’s not a lot of dishes the rosé won’t complement. We love to balance heavier, more fatty dishes like fried chicken and grilled salmon with this fresh, bone-dry quencher. Alternatively, pairing the citrus and grapefruit notes with complementary dishes like tangy goat cheeses and fresh ceviche is a win-win.
