2023 Rosé
2023 Rosé
Our Rosé is a lively blend, combining the frshness of early-picked Merlot with the vibrant acidity of Malbec. It exudes aromas of strawberries, white nectarine and red grapefruit, balanced with Meyer lemon, clementine and a touch of salinity. This year's vintage brings heightened acidity, enhancing the texture and leaving a lasting impression of freshness. With its harmonious blend of flavors, this Rosé offers a poised and complete tasting experience.

Winemaker Notes
We continue to ferment our Rosé block by block, to better embrace the unique character of each. In 2023 we made a few notable changes, adding more early-picked Malbec to the blend for aromatics and depth and relying on a greater amount of skin contact for color. This year we chose to direct-press the Malbec which brings bright acidity and fresher stone fruit aromas. Cabernet Franc provides the faint, delicate herbal and savory notes that have always supported the fruit in the bottling. 2023 has a bit more brightness to it, coming from the cool evenings and very dry weeks leading up to harvest. The citrus and tropical notes of our Rosé take a bit more of a leading role, edging the berry character to the side just a bit. 2023 has more acid and density, while continuing in our "classic" style, fresh, energetic and thirst quenching.
Vineyard Notes
2023 was an excellent vintage with balanced whites and reds with ripe intensity and richness, it is one of the most recent standout vintages! After a very mild winter and throughout spring we saw warm and dry days, leading into bloomtime. Temperate weather throughout bloom resulted in fully set clusters. As the season progressed, we continued to experience very hot and dry days and significant diurnal shifts, allowing for high sugar accumulation and good acid retention. With this exceptional season for ripening, our harvest started on the earlier side and allowed us phenological ripeness and aromatic complexity.
